The marketplace is one store for everything that plugs into KryllOS: complete bots, single custom blocks, and applications that add windows to the desktop. It is priced in KRL, and every purchase is split three ways between the person who built the thing, Kryll, and KRL stakers.

Where the KRL from a single purchase goes. The three widths are the three shares, so the drawing cannot disagree with the numbers under it.

Three kinds of thing on the same shelves

They are not three separate stores with three separate accounts. It is one place, and everything in it installs into KryllOS the same way.

StrategiesComplete bots, ready to run. You can also open one in the editor and take it apart. A published strategy is still a graph of blocks, not a black box.
Custom blocksA single block that does something the native ones do not. Once installed it works exactly like a native block, including inside AND and OR.
ApplicationsTools that add a window to the desktop. This is how KryllOS grows without Kryll having to build everything in it.

Two sides, one store

If you would rather not build

Install something that already works and run it on your own machine. You keep the self-hosting, the local keys and the ability to read every block of what you installed. Buying a strategy does not hand your keys to its author.

If you build well

Publish what you made and set a price. The largest share of every purchase goes to you. A strategy that works is worth something to people who do not want to write one, and this is the mechanism that pays you for it.

Curation rules, categories, ratings and the pricing model (fixed price, rental, or both) are still being decided.

This is the thing the community asked for first

Before any of this was built, two surveys went out. The marketplace was not the answer we expected to come back on top.

58%
would rather run a ready-made strategy than build their own.
35%
would rather pay per item on a marketplace than pay a monthly subscription.
559
responses across the two surveys, in French and in English.

Two community surveys run before the reboot. The people who answered were already following Kryll, so this describes a community, not a market.

What is decided, and what is not

The mechanism is settled: one store, KRL as the currency, three-way split, open to anyone. What is not settled is everything around it: how submissions are reviewed, how items are categorised and rated, and whether an item is bought once or rented. Those are being worked out, and they will be published here before the store opens, not after.

Where the KRL goes

Build the thing you would publish.

The editor and the backtest engine ship today. The store comes later, and what goes in it is what people are making now.
